I am amazed once again about people’s heart to give and pour out to others. From little thing that they have to giving though the talents that they were given. That we can achieve greater things by working together.

I lack too much things in serving God’s kingdom yet he uses me everyday. I am more and more desperate for his love and mercy. I seek more and dumbfounded by just how much I lack as a disciple of Christ.

I learned today what it means to be a Christian and to be a disciple of God. To be a Christian, you only need faith and faith alone. To be a disciple, you need action.

Disciples are always Christians but not all Christians are disciples. Christians believe the cross but disciples carry the cross. Christians looks likes salt and act(?) like salt but they don’t taste like salt which is their job. You choose to be a disciple, and I been lacking so much action.

I remember praying that since I suck at verbal communication I would evangelize though action. I can say all I want but I haven’t been doing what God has called me to do. I want to be a disciple of God and I want to be disciplined.

Being a Disciple

 ²⁵Large crowds were walking along with Jesus, when he turned and said:

    ²⁶You cannot be my disciple, unless you love me more than you love your father and mother, your wife and children, and your brothers and sisters. You cannot come with me unless you love me more than you love your own life.

    ²⁷You cannot be my disciple unless you carry your own cross and come with me.

    ²⁸Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. What is the first thing you will do? Won’t you sit down and figure out how much it will cost and if you have enough money to pay for it? ²⁹Otherwise, you will start building the tower, but not be able to finish. Then everyone who sees what is happening will laugh at you. ³⁰They will say, “You started building, but could not finish the job.”

    ³¹What will a king do if he has only ten thousand soldiers to defend himself against a king who is about to attack him with twenty thousand soldiers? Before he goes out to battle, won’t he first sit down and decide if he can win? ³²If he thinks he won’t be able to defend himself, he will send messengers and ask for peace while the other king is still a long way off. ³³So then, you cannot be my disciple unless you give away everything you own.

Salt and Light

³⁴Salt is good, but if it no longer tastes like salt, how can it be made to taste salty again? ³⁵It is no longer good for the soil or even for the manure pile. People simply throw it out. If you have ears, pay attention!

I just felt so blessed today.

I felt so blessed that I have parents that care so much and a sister that is so loveable.

I felt so blessed that I have friends around me who loves me for who I am.

I felt so blessed that God has made me appreciate this beautiful weather for me to enjoy.

I felt so blessed to have a body that can play tennis and bike around.

I felt so blessed to see things that God has blessed me with.

It’s so easy to whine, it’s so easy to complain but when you starting to see what God sees of this world, it’s so beautifully broken. Thank you God for giving too much to this terrible son of yours. I just want to continually run toward you.

I was trying to remember what I the heck I did for God today. I think I am starting to realize how much I don’t think about God in my life. I say what it is good to say and what I want to hear but what’s the point when I don’t follow it with an action. Christ wants us to worship, love and serve him whenever and everywhere I go.

I need to continually live out for Christ.

1 Corinthians 10:31 
“So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.”

I almost forgot that I needed write this… I guess I really need to get in habit. For my birthday, instead of spending money all on my self I decided to help others who might need help.

Then I found about http://www.worldvision.org/  where you can sponsor a child just for $35 a month. It kinda sounded like it was a lot at first but it’s not that much. A night out or that sweater I was going buy. Now I feel like when  I work, I will be working to help out a person. It adds just so much more meaning to what I do everyday.

I was trying to sponsor a kid who had same birthday as me and there were over 20 kids who had same birthday as me and was in need of help. I was kinda heartbroken. So many of these kids need our help. This means that there is at LEAST 7000 kids (365*20) who are desperate for our help. I really hope that I can sponsor another kid on my next birthday. :)

Deuteronomy 15:7, 11
If there is a poor man among your brothers in any of the towns of the land that the LORD your God is giving you, do not be hardhearted or tightfisted toward your poor brother. There will always be poor people in the land. Therefore I command you to be openhanded toward your brothers and toward the poor and needy in your land.

Lets try to share the blessings that God has given to us! Oh, the organization said I will receive a personal letter from Fiona in 10 weeks or so. I can wait to get to know her more!
